Running & M.H.

 Before we go any further I must declare I am by no means an expert or have any qualifications in Mental Health but hear me out for one more minute...

I believe we have or will all be affected by mental health issues in our lifetime, either ourselves or someone close to us

Running has a deep effect on mental health, providing various benefits while also addressing some mental health challenges.  It can help reduce stress and anxiety levels, improve mood, and boost self-esteem.

As we try to create a runner's  community I have attached below a local councellor who is offering free 20 min consultations before various other options.

The effects of running vary between individuals, and seeking professional assistance when necessary is crucial. While running can have therapeutic benefits, it should not be seen as a replacement for mental health treatment.

 Here's an article that I found whilst researching;

Runners World published an article covering running and metal well-being. Within the article running and mental wellbeing are linked, amongst the benefits being reduced depression and anxiety and the social aspects, support of being part of a running community.
